In 2007, one city , Sydney, decided to take a stand against climate change. 2,2 million people across the city switched off their lights.
In 2008, 50 million people switched off their lights in the second year in 400 cities around the world, as a symbol of hope for the future of our planet.
In 2009, Over 4 000 cities across 88 countries took part.
